James A. Kalicki, Esq., CPA
Jamie received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno after which he became a Revenue Agent with the Internal Revenue Service. In the early 1990’s he moved to the private sector working for Horning, Holmberg & Company, CPAs, as a Certified Public Accountant.Jamie received his law degree in 1995 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. He gained valuable experience in his chosen profession while acting as Law Clerk for the Honorable Charles E. Springer, Chief Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court. On January 1, 2003, James A. Kalicki and Richard P. Schulze formed Kalicki & Schulza, LLP. Together their practice focused on estate, business and asset protection planning needs of clients throughout Northern Nevada and Northern California.
On September 1, 2005, Jamie formed Kalicki Law Offices, Ltd. His practice focuses on estate planning, business planning and development, and asset protection. Jamie services the needs of his clients throughout Northern Nevada and Northern California.

Greg received his B.S. in Business Administration in 1989 from California State University, Chico and his Law degree in 1992 from University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. During the 1990’s, Greg practiced as a Deputy District Attorney with the Carson City District Attorney’s Office and as a Deputy Attorney General with the Nevada Attorney General’s Office, where he served in both the Litigation and Taxation Divisions.Greg spent eight years in the corporate finance industry with Wells Fargo Bank’s Gaming Division, where he served as a Vice President/Relationship Manager and gained substantial experience in underwriting, structuring, negotiating and closing credit facilities.
Greg practices primarily in the areas of corporate/business transactions, asset protection and probate/trust administration.
Sylvia Baldemor, Paralegal/Office Manager
On January 2, 2004, Sylvia began her employment with James A. Kalicki in the Estate and Business Planning arena. This was a new challenge for her after having worked in family law and civil litigation since 1983, twenty-one years of legal experience behind her. She has found this field of law most rewarding because she is part of many people’s lives and their plan for their futures and the futures of their families. It is heartwarming to Sylvia to know that she provides the most professional, yet very personal service to our clients.Her personal background is unique in that she was the middle daughter of an Air Force Master Sgt. who married a German national, she was born in New York, raised on and off in Germany and various places in the United States from the east to the west coasts, and spent nineteen years on Guam before returning to the mainland in August of 1985 where she took up residence in Cupertino, California for six years before moving to Reno, Nevada in 1993.
She has two grown children who are married to very wonderful people and five grandchildren. They are all the apples of her eye. Sylvia’s daughter, the older of the two, is a Registered Nurse working for our local hospital, Renown, and her son is pursuing a career with the Reno Police Department.
Ashley M. Deane, Paralegal
After working as a Funeral Arranger helping families celebrate the lives of loved ones with personalized ceremonies, Ashley realized how important planning for the future is so she pursued a career with Kalicki Law Offices, Ltd. which she joined in November, 2010.Ashley was born in Los Gatos, California and raised in Santa Cruz, California before moving to Reno in 2004. She enjoys traveling, boating, skiing and many more outdoor activities. She is also an accomplished ballroom dancer and wedding photographer. She met her husband, Rob in 2006 married 2008 and together have two handsome sons, Jacob and Austin.
Ashley Barker, Legal Assistant
Ashley recently moved to Reno, June of 2012 and fortunately found a position at Kalicki Law Office, Ltd. Before moving to Reno, Ashley worked at the firm of Shumway Van & Hansen, Chtd. in Las Vegas, Nevada as a legal assistant in the bankruptcy department. Just before working there she assisted Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee David Gladwell in Ogden, Utah.Ashley was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice through Truckee Meadows Community College. She is engaged to a wonderful man who currently plays baseball at University Nevada Reno. Together they have a son named Jaxon who brings daily joy to their lives. With her spare time she enjoys arts, crafts, and all the outdoor activities that Reno/Tahoe has to offer.
